Grape Varietal: 55% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir
Dosage: 3g/l
Location: Aÿ, Champagne, France
Quick Facts:
- This is the first ever Brut Rosé Vintage released by Billecart-Salmon
- Instantly identifiable as a Billecart-Salmon Rosé with its coppery tint. The aromas are deep, layered and leap from the glass. Strawberry, melon, citrus and fresh herbs are clearly present.
- On the palate, it's light, elegant, fresh and the red berries, citrus notes and tart flavors dance across the tongue. Truly classic vintage champagne.
- A truly fantastic wine on its own or to drink all the way through dinner. It's elegant enough seafoods but has the depth for Beef Wellington or even lighter Thai dishes.
- Very limited allocation
- Drink this now, or hold on to it for 5-10 years. This is a cellar worthy bottle.
Founded in 1818, Billecart-Salmon remains one of the largest family owned houses in Champagne. Today, the seventh generation of the Roland-Billecart family is continuing the remarkable history of their house. Mathieu Roland-Billecart is the latest family member to uphold the virtues of this house. Billecart is arguably known for the incredible quality of their rosé wines. This first ever pure vintage rosé only cements that argument.
