The name “Les Pierres Ecrites” is a nod to the previous owner, who was a famous archaeologist of prehistoric drawings on stones in North Africa.
- Coralie and Anthony worked as winemakers in other parts of France and abroad for ten years before returning home to start their own estate
As the wine opens up, aromas of apples, citrus, and honey all gently make themselves known with bubbles that are crisp yet have a pleasing creamy texture
Enjoy with semi-hard cheeses like white sharp cheddar, Comte, or Gouda. Smoked salmon, pork chops, or chicken are solid choice as well. Sit back with a bag of Lays chips and sip while catching up on episodes of AGT, Shark Tank, Diplomat, or Suits
Small family grower farming in the most environmentally respectful way possible. They farm 8 hectares (20 acres) of vines entirely by hand, and without using any chemicals. The wines are organic, fermented with native yeasts, have no sugar added, are unfiltered and only a few thousand bottles are made each year. They plant grass in every other row, and are in the process of adapting their pruning methods to let the sap flow more evenly, in order to put less stress on the vines and reduce the risk of disease. Coralie and Anthony have also planted shrubs and trees around the vineyards to ensure a balanced natural environment.
