Quick Facts:

  • A stunning champagne with a complexity and depth of flavors coming from the traditional blend of Pinot Noir, Muenier and Chardonnay grapes.

  • An energetic bubble with aromas and flavors of citrus, green apple and peach. A light toastiness is there along with a racy minerality making this immensely enjoyable to drink.

Jean-Pierre Bérêche was one of the first producers to establish himself as an independent growers. Since 2004, brothers Raphaël and Vincent Beréche, the current winemakers, have honored their father, Jean-Pierre, by continuing the family legacy. The small 9-hectare (21 acre) estate has a roughly even distribution of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. They converted to biodynamic practices in 2007 and all vineyards are planted with cover crops.

A distinctive feature of Beréche productions is their use of cork, rather than the conventional crown cap, for aging their young Champagnes.  Around 75% of the wines are fermented in barrels, and there is no malolactic fermentation.

Raphaël and Vincent have rigorous and intense focus on quality farming and meticulous winemaking. This dedication to fine craftsmanship is exactly why Beréche et Fils is among the most coveted grower champagnes, earning its place as an elite producer in Champagne.
