-
Vrain-Augé, Tradition received a silver medal at the prestigious 2022 Sommeliers Choice Awards in San Francisco, CA
- 100% Meunier champagne is still not very common and not always easy to find but I'm a fan of them.
- Aromas of ripe apples and lemon, with raspberry red plum and light fresh buttered toast.
- Fine bubbles with a creamy texture. The wine is full bodied with a fruit forward style and a long finish
- You won't find many of these in U.S. Another small producer with only around 10,000 of this bottle made each year.
Cédric Vrain, along with his wife Catherine Cotelle (Augé is his mothers name), own a modest estate of less than 15 acres that has been handed down in their family since 1895. For generations, the family sold their grapes to larger champagne houses, but, in 2000, they decided to begin production of their own champagnes and we are fortunate for that. The family markets only 20,000 bottles annually showing their commitment to quality over quantity. This champagne is a testament to their family's passion for the art of wine-making.
