Chartogne-Taillet is a highly regarded, small producer whose Estate history goes back to the 1600’s. Alexandre Chartogne is the present day winemaker and he farms with a strong dedication and singular focus on allowing the terroir to express itself. He studies not only the soil for each parcel of land but also the microorganisms. He uses no herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers and around half his land is plowed by horse. He brings an approachable yet exclusive touch to the Chartogne-Taillet brand which are some of the most sought-after in Champagne.
