This champagne method sparkling wine spends very little time in contact with the skins, with most of the coppery magenta color being natural for this unusual grape. A special treat that is not commonly found in the U.S.

The aromas bring memories of a strawberry shortcake with whipped cream but the taste is a savory version of berries and cream with hints of baking spices and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. A fine tight sparkle coats the tongue leaving a tingling sensation with a crisp dry finish.

Vasco Croft founded Aphros on the family estate after a life-changing encounter with a Buddhist monk, which he describes as a personal meeting with Dionysus. In 2003, he started the wine project in Casal do Paço, a semi-abandoned estate in his family since the 17th century.
