Quartz Reef is made by a certified organic and biodynamic estate vineyard in Central Otago in New Zealand. It is named after a unique feature of geological treasures of New Zealand, specifically its largest quartz deposit that lies under the vineyards. In addition to its geological features, Central Otago is renowned for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay which comprise this blend. Winemaker,Rudi Bauer (a multiple recipient of the New Zealand winemaker of the year award), states simply that he’s focused on offering sparkling wine that “capture[s] attention and entertain[s].” This bottle, with its cool but playful demeanor does exactly that.
