This vintage blanc de blancs from Roland Champion is aged 6 years, disgorged and held another year before being released
Fine bubbles with wonderful aromas of yellow apple, white peach, white grapefruit, pear and fresh baked pastry dough.
Dry and crisp, with a delicate and narrow texture and hints of almonds and gruyere cheese. A refined, classic blanc de blancs champagne.
The ideal partner for an aperitif or for some classics like Costco’s $5 roast chicken, fish in a light cream sauce, ceviche, or risotto. Take a bottle with you to a restaurant and feast on a seafood tower or stay in and enjoy with a bowl of mac & cheese watching Cocaine Bear, No Hard Feelings, Below Deck or House Hunters.
Roland Champion was founded in 1929 by André Champion. His son, Roland, at 16 years of age, took over the vineyard after Andre’s unfortunate early passing. Roland grew the vineyards and eventually put his name on his family’s Champagne. Today, Roland’s son, François, runs the vineyard along with his daughters Carole and Clémence, the fourth generation of their family. They are also a proud member of Champagnes elite “Special Club”. The Special Club represents 28 artisan winemakers selected according to a set of unrelenting quality standards within the region.
